Aaryas Jeerakasala rice, also known as Kaima rice, is a short-grain, aromatic rice variety from Kerala, India, famous for its use in Thalassery Biryani. It has shorter, plump grains than Basmati, a distinct nutty and fragrant aroma, and a slightly sticky texture when cooked, making it ideal for dishes like biryani, ghee rice, and festive meals. It is predominantly grown in the Wayanad region of Kerala.
